Datganiad yr Arlunydd • Artist Statement Mae fy thema yn y gorffenol wedi bod yn lapio a chlymu pethau i fyny er mwyn creu gwrthrychau bach. Dw i wedi dipio parseli bach papur mewn porslen a wedi tanio nhw mewn odyn. Y canlyniad ydy gwrthrychau bach, brau, bron yn dryloyw. Yn rhedeg yn barhaol trwy fy ngwaith ydy lluosogiad, achos dw i’n mwynhau gweld llawer o gwrthrychau a gwrpiau o waith. Dw i’n defnyddio llawer o ffotograffiaeth ac dw i’n teimlo bod y lluniau yma am gofion, y gorffenol, presennol a’r dyfodol. Ffenestri eglwys ym Mwcle ydyn nhw, lle cafodd fy nain a thaid eu claddu. Ro’n i’n ymweld a’u beddau un prynhawn yn y gaeaf a wnes i sylwi ar y lliwiau ac adlewerchiadau yn y ffenestri, ac ro’n i’n digwydd bod â fy nghamera. Wnaeth y golau’n dod trwy’r ffenestri a goleuo’r tu fewn i’r eglwys dal fy llygaid. Does dim technoleg Photoshop wedi cael ei defnyddio, mae’r adlwerchiadau’n naturiol a wedi cael eu dal mewn eiliad digymell a byrbwyll. • My theme in the past has been parcelling and binding things up to make small objects. I have dipped small paper parcels into porcelain and then fired them in a kiln. The result being very fragile, transparent little objects. Running continously through my work is repetition as I enjoy seeing lots of objects and like groupings of work. I use a lot of photography and I feel these pictures are about memory, the past, present and future. They are the stained glass windows of a church in Buckley where my grandparents are buried. I was visiting their grave one winter’s afternoon and noticed the colours and reflections in the windows, and by chance had my camera. The way in which the light came through the windows and showed the inside of the church really caught my eye. There is no Photoshop technology involved, the reflections are natural and were caught in a moment of spontaneity and impulse.
